Associate in Applied Science (AAS)
Associate in Applied Science Degree in Early Care and Education — Developmental Disabilities Option is a 68-credit hour program of study with a concentration of coursework in early education, special education, child development and family studies also includes practice teaching (ECE 105, 203, 206) in a special needs setting. Students who complete the AAS degree with a Disabilities Option can find employment in preschool, day care, and special school district programs, as well as instructional aides in elementary schools or as parent educators in the Missouri Parents as Teachers Program.

The Early Care and Education: Developmental Disabilites program is offered at our Florissant Valley and Meramec campuses. Students may take general education classes toward this degree at any of our four campuses, our five education centers, and online.
