Certificate of Specialization (CS)


Certificate of Specialization in Computer Accounting Technology is a 16-credit-hour program designed for persons who want to enter the accounting field as well as for persons already working in accounting who want to enhance their skills. This program focuses on computer accounting skills.

This certificate is designed for accounting students on the fast-track to the job market or for practicing accountants who want to update technology skills.

Accreditation Council for Accountancy and Taxation provides an accreditation exam for accounting professionals who are not interested in the CPA credential. ACAT accountants often are company employees rather than independent accountants.

American Institute of Certified Public Accountants provides information on the CPA exam and accounting standards.

Association for Government Accountants provides continuing education and certification for government accountants.

The Computer Accounting Technology program is offered at our Florissant Valley, Forest Park and Meramec campuses. Students may take general education classes toward this degree at any of our four campuses, our five education centers, and online.
